Technical background:

In the Historia Network protocol, the following behavior happens:

If passed:

• Proposals are temporary and expire (deleted) approximately 2 weeks after passing date.
• Records are permanent, locked within the protocol, and can not be deleted.

If fails to pass:

• Both Records and Proposals will expire (deleted) approximately 2 weeks after voting date.

In BaseX the behavior happens this currently way:

If passed:

• On the home page (front page), proposals are temporary and expire (deleted) approximately 2 weeks after passing date and would be removed from home page in BaseX. We are importing these into the BaseX database, and they are still shown on a users' page. For an example, see the Historia user support page here.
• Records are permanent, and would always been shown on the home page.

If fails to pass:

• Both Records and Proposals will expire (deleted) approximately 2 weeks after voting date, but still shown on the users' page as previously mentioned.

New Proposed Behavior of BaseX:

Our suggestion is that BaseX shows all previously submitted articles on the home page. Those that are expired without passing, will be labeled in such a way to say they did not have the votes or evidence to pass the vote. We will add an additional tab on the home page for "Expired". This will not affect the Historia Network protocol and any expired submission will be deleted from the protocol layer.

Vote Yes if you want all previous submissions to been seen on the main page.

Vote No if you want maintain the behavior as it is currently.
